Conquering Kilimanjaro
Conquering Kilimanjaro
Hello, we are Kajsa and Naomi, two people who met at a bowling alley and before we knew it had embarked on an adventure! We are planning to climb Mount Kilimanjaro - the world's highest free standing mountain - to raise money for Practical Action.
Kilimanjaro supports 5 major eco-zones, rainforest, heath, morrland, apline, desert and glaciers. Without any previous training or experience in anything of this nature we will be taking the steepest route and be without even beds or showers for 7 days. This is a mammoth challenge that will push us to our physical and mental limits (perhaps due to being with each other 24/7)!
We have committed to raising a minimum of £5000 for Practical Action a charity which works with poor communities across the world to help them choose and use technology to improve their lives for today and generations to come. We have lots of exciting events planned to reach our target before next August so any and all contributions, be it in the form of donations, services or general support would be hugely appreciated.
